Golf News
Sweet Parting
I would't normally start the newsletter with sad news, but I'm going to make an exception as we prepare to bid farewell and bon voyage to one of our most prominent team members,
Johan De Bruyn.
Orange infiltrates the Southern Cape
The Southern Free State Golf Team toured the Southern Cape last weekend and played at
Mossel Bay Golf Club, Outeniqua at Fancourt and, of course, PPBGR. Our league team
hosted the side in foursomes and singles match play game and the teams consisted of
eight.
The greens and the blacks
I'd like to extend a big pat on the back to PPBGR's hardworking maintenance staff for
their commitment and continuous effort to enhance the greens which have been affected
this winter.
Sale! Sale! Sale!
Having just bagged myself a couple of great bargains, I feel inclined to remind you not
to miss out on the crazy Pro Shop sale currently on at PPBGR.

Golf Pro Tip
Almost every golfer that has played at PPBGR agrees that the 7th Hole is undoubtedly one
of the best par 3's you will find anywhere in the world. The dramatic scene, as you look
down from the tee to this island green perched right at the top of a cliff, is
awe-inspiring.
