Golf Tip
Almost every golfer that has played at PPBGR agrees that the 7th Hole is undoubtedly one of the best par 3's you will find anywhere in the world. The dramatic scene, as you look down from the tee to this island green perched right at the top of a cliff, is awe-inspiring. Below you waves are crashing against the cliffs bringing nature right to you as you stand on the tee about to take a swing with no doubt a few white knuckles. In winter, the Southern Right Whales can be spotted in the ocean right below this hole, making it truly magnificent.
This short par 3 always plays a little shorter than the distance indicates, due to the downhill approach shot, deduct 10% off the actual distance to compensate for this drop in elevation. The green is protected in the front with two pot bunkers that makes your tee shot placement even more crucial. Take the wind direction into consideration when making your club selection. It helps to ride the wind on this hole. A good tip on a hole like this is to take one extra club and choke down on the shaft, this will help you to negate any wind that might affect the ball flight on this cheeky short par 3.
Be brave and trust the club selection, happy golfing.
