In 2006, shortly after opening, the Pinnacle Point golf course was voted among the world's top 10 best new golf courses in the world. The award, by the American Travel & Leisure Golf Magazine, was the first ever received by a South African golf course. This remarkable accolade, as the only course outside North America to be included, came as no surprize to course architect Peter Matkovich. Pinnacle Point triumphant at National Business Awards - 29 May 2008



Riding on the success of the dazzling Pilsner Urquell Shootout this weekend, Pinnacle Point Beach & Golf Resort (PPB&GR) have scooped another prestigious accolade. At the National Business Awards gala dinner, held in Johannesburg last night, PPB&GR received the coveted award for The Real Estate Project of the Year.

Urgent application dismissed from court - 28 May 2008



Pinnacle Point Resorts (PPR) were delighted with the High Court decision to dismiss the application brought against them by WESSA (Wildlife & Environment Society of South Africa).

The urgent application filed against PPR earlier this month to immediately cease irrigation of more than 75% of the multi award winning golf course in Mossel Bay was finally resolved in the Cape Town High Court today. Judge Veldhuizen ruled in favour of Pinnacle Point and dismissed the application for the interim relief, together with costs.

Pinnacle Point reveals evidence of earliest modern human life - 23 October 2007



An exciting discovery has been made in Cave 13B at Pinnacle Point Beach and Golf ResortAn international team of researchers has uncovered three hallmarks of modern human life in Cave 13B at Pinnacle Point Beach and Golf Resort. The startling find included cooked seafood, ochre and bladelets. Anthropologist Sally McBrearty (University of Connecticut) and palaeontologist Chris Stringer (London Natural History Museum) believe that this suggests early humans in Africa inhabited a cognitive world enriched by symbols before 160 000 years ago.

Fractional ownership 'in' thing - 15 October 2007



"Leisure properties have increased in valeu between 20%-30% a year over the past four years, and much of this growth was in fact fuelled by the trend towards fractional ownership. Pinnacle Point earns congratulations on cave excavation - 18 July 2007



Pinnacle Point Holdings' world class Beach and Golf Resort at Mossel Bay has earned deserved congratulations from a mass of national and international professional bodies for best practice, engineering excellence and high ethical standards.

Below the cliffs on which the resort stands proud are caves containing middle stone-age artifacts that have attracted global attention. A team of American anthropologists and archeologists has, since 2000, been documenting this invaluable "cradle of humanity" discovery of 500 000 years of inhabitance.
